"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

It is hard to get into the programming because a lot of its coding has changed, but it offers a much more efficient system, so that I have never even forced my system to work above half its RAM potential. XP was great for coders and easy to access, but now that I have gotten use to Vista, I have realized that most of the system changes were more cosmetic than anything and all I really got was a faster, more reliable system.
I wouldn't say it is a big enough step up to qualify a purchase, but unless you just have to have your OSs in the exact file locations that they have been in for the past 10 years, it is most certainly better.
